Content Managed Websites (Wordpress CMS & Joomla)
Organizations need the ability to manage their website content effectively. With Digital Intersect’s Content Management Solution platform, businesses are not only using powerful web-based tools to achieve that goal, they are also streamlining content creation, contribution, and editorial approval. Integration Application
Digital Intersect’s web-based content management platform integrates a WYSIWYG content authoring interface and powerful editorial approval process with a robust set of site management tools.
Editorial Approval Workflow
Administrative users have different access levels based on their role. Content contributors can author new pages and edit current content. However, their work is not automatically made live on the site. Instead it is saved in a staging area for editorial approval. Master Administrators must review and approve all submissions and changes prior to the content going live. This workflow increases the ability to improve quality control over your site content.
Page Management Software
The Content Management system allows the administrator to control various aspects of pages within the site. You can add, edit, and remove pages following a simple, user-friendly process. While creating a new page the administrator assigns it to a top level category (for example: the “About Us” section of the site). Once the page is approved and activated it automatically appears in the site’s navigation menu. The administrator even has the ability to determine the order in which these menu options are displayed to the site visitor.
Administrator Management Solution
The solution allows for an unlimited number of administrative users - this includes both Master Administrators and Content Contributors. Master Administrators can create new Content Contributor users on the fly, as well as revoke their access to the system.
We also use Worpress and Joomla ( Open source CMS softwares ) to build Content Management System for websites. These softwares have many useful features.
WordPress is a free and open source blog publishing application and Content Management System. WordPress has a templating system, which includes widgets that can be rearranged without editing PHP or HTML code, as well as themes that can be installed and switched between. The PHP and HTML code in themes can also be edited for more advanced customizations. WordPress also features integrated link management; a search engine-friendly, clean permalink structure; the ability to assign nested, multiple categories to articles; multiple author capability; and support for tagging of posts and articles. Automatic filters that provide for proper formatting and styling of text in articles (for example, converting regular quotes to smart quotes) are also included. WordPress also supports the Trackback and Pingback standards for displaying links to other sites that have themselves linked to a post or article.
Finally, WordPress has a rich plugin architecture which allows users and developers to extend its functionality beyond the features that come as part of the base install.
Joomla! is a content management system for publishing content on the World Wide Web and intranets as well as a Model-view-controller (MVC) Web Application Development framework.

It is written in the PHP programming language and uses the MySQL database system to store information. Joomla is the result of a fork of Mambo. Released under the terms of the GNU General Public License, Joomla is free software.
