The Charlotte Asian Heritage Association (CAHA) is pleased to announce the dedication of a Mahatma Gandhi monument at 11 AM on Sunday, October 5, 2008, on the west front lawn of the historic Old County Courthouse. The monument is the central focus of an area to be designated “Gandhi Park” located at the corner of Trade and Alexander Streets in uptown Charlotte. Following the dedication at 1 PM will be a celebration festival of Indian and Asian activities with foods, music and dances. The public is invited to both the dedication and the festival.
