The Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte was established on 12 January 1972, with the Most Reverend Michael Joseph Begley, a priest of the Diocese of Raleigh, being ordained and installed as first Bishop of Charlotte.

The administrators at the Diocese of Charlotte contacted Digital Intersect to rebuild their online presence and provide them ability to manage the website data of various departments from a centralized admin console. Digital Intersect has offer them a fully function website with different sub domains for each department using Joomla Framework. Digital Intersect have designed various custom extensions as per their requirements.
