The Busman
thebusman.com | web design by Digital Intersect | Charlotte website designAfter considering bids from multiple vendors, ‘The Busman’ Marty Rhyne selected Digital Intersect to redesign his site advertising the sale and purchase of used passenger coaches, shells, entertainers and motorhomes. His decision was based not only on significantly better pricing but also because the DI proposal included features to improve business performance.

DI implemented an eye-catching redesign incorporating XHTML, Javascript and Flash elements to enhance marketing impact without sacrificing ease-of-use. DI used Microsoft technologies (C#, SQL Server, and .Net) to deliver content management and a system to manage and display current vehicle inventories. A unique feature of the inventory management system is the auto-resizing of digital images for display on the website. This improves efficiency by allowing staff members to upload images to the site without preprocessing them in another application. This saves time and money.

Additionally, Digital Intersect optimized the website for the major search engines. The Busman site now enjoys top-five rankings on Google, which attracts qualified prospects daily. Prospects are managed via a CRM (customer relationship management) feature to capture and process information requests. The combination of search engine optimization and request capture has resulted in sales.

The Busman is pleased with his site’s performance and is working with Digital Intersect on enhancements, including e-mail newsletters and video.

US LEC

US LEC is a publicly traded (NASDAQ: CLEC) telecommunications company with over 26,000 business customers in 100+ markets in 16 states. Digital Intersect was called in to replace an ill-conceived content management system (CMS) for its corporate web site. The absence of intuitive, user-centered design was costing US LEC valuable time to maintain web site content. In a fast-paced, highly competitive industry like telecom, wasted time risks your competitive edge.
DI significantly improved administrative ease-of-use, making content updates quick and efficient. We also added multilevel access giving full control of content to the site administrator and limiting other staff access to designated portions of the web site.

The redesigned content management system was ported from Microsoft ASP technology to Microsoft .NET. The entire solution yielded efficiency improvements and put the corporate site on a more stable platform. The CMS, which controls content for hundreds of pages, was redesigned, reprogrammed, and implemented in 90 days.

The success of this project has lead to more refinements of the corporate web site and additional opportunities. DI has completed a redesign and repositioning of the US LEC Marketing Department Intranet and is currently creating interactive presentations for their sales staff.

Action Sports Photography Inc.
Action Sports Photography Inc. | Charlotte website design Over the years, Concord, North Carolina-based Action Sports Photography (ASP) had built a sizeable inventory of photographs covering regional sports. Their inventory experienced rapid growth due to the explosion in popularity of NASCAR, the arrivals of professional basketball and football to the Charlotte market, and the resurgence of high school sports.To handle increased demand, ASP came to Digital Intersect to upgrade its web site.

This project involved both a redesign and repositioning of the existing site. The redesign includes a new ‘look-and-feel” with a focus on ease-of-use. The repositioning includes development of an online image management system which enables customers to search, review, and purchase from the entire ASP database. On the site management side, Action Sports now can upload multiple resolution photographs, define photo sets, set pricing, and track purchases.

With the improvements, ASP customers can buy NASCAR, pro football and other sports images directly online instead of reviewing images then requesting them through other channels. ASP personnel manage the site in-house, manage inventories with better efficiency, and track revenues instantly.
